RUSTON TIFF

Thumbs down from the FRONT ROW ruston council meeting Dec. 3, 2007. Dan Albertson thus joined the Ruston council in a tawdry "power grab" ignoring traditional Ruston method of nomination, interviews. It wouldn't have killed them as the outcome would be the same, pre-ordained.

This was BULLYBOB (Everding) at his best and his buddy BULLYBOY (Stebner) at his gloatiest. Stern faced Bob and his buddy Wayne, head down with that sickly gotcha grin providing an instantaneous second. This was an obvious pre-planned event and another violation of the OPEN MEETINGS ACT. But the Ruston oath of office wasn't worth the time of day to the Tacoma Boys.

Most interesting, after the "thumb in the eye" of Ruston nomination, the Mayor called a five minute timeout. Scenario: the Mayor and newly-elected Councilman Jim Hedrick departed the scene. Immediately about eight members of the CABAL rushed forward joing the four CABAL counclimen, smiling, fawning, shaking hands like they solved Global Warming. Amazing the simple pleasures of the :kick 'em while their down" crowd.
As to the nice lady who always wants the Town to "get together" there is no second place with this crowd, no nice need apply.

What was their great accomplishment? I didn't stick around to see if they voted to pay the bills or not after refusing for two years and nearly shutting the Town down. Mr. CONTROL FREAK is now on the bills and payroll review committee so I surmise they voted affirmatively but the Mayor displayed obvious concern having to explain to them for the umpteenth time that the signature applied also required an affirmative vote.

What can they accomplish, one word: LAWSUITS!
