Ruston council meeting Monday Feb.4, 2008 7 pm:
Meeting starts Mayor to be 10 minutes late. Bradley appointed Mayor pro tem. He immediately announces EXECUTIVE SESSION just before PUBLIC COMMENTS one half hour hoping we would all leave, I surmise. This looks like it was preplanned.
ORDINANCE 1246/1247 (Albertson) requiring Town Clerk to submit all permits within 24 hours. Lawyer Dan had to be brought up date to the additional costs to the town for mylar copies transporting, additional Clerk function, et al. His justification houses were not getting on the tax rolls soon enough to suit him. Again the Mayor had to bring lawyer Dan up-to-speed that that was the fully under the control of the Assessor's office and that under present policies delivery was within 24 hours. Notwithstanding logic and common sense it was passed 3-1 by the three CABAL councilmen.
Business and ordinance No. are different in handout. Ordinance 1247/1246 Amending Agenda Ordinance (Albertson) precluded the Mayor from putting items on the meeting agenda without approval of the council. What gives with the grudge this man has with the Mayor? Has he ever explained it. Filed suit against the town twice, submitted a Freedom of Information request for thousands of pages and thousands of dollars in legal fees. No wonder he was defeated in his election bid. One interesting comment by Bradley "... this is our council". Very interesting since the only people Bradley talks to want the town to be annexed to Tacoma.
Let's all give the Mayor a Ruston Badge of Courage for addressing the council without their permission, which in the previous meeting they had expressly forbidden him to do. BRAVO.
Our little Dictator Bradley also announced SPECIAL SESSIONS to be held on a round table, dimensions not given, no PUBLIC COMMENTS. #1 Monday Feb 25th subject: amending agenda. #2 Change form of Government, or more appropriately titled "get rid of the Mayor we cannot control" amendment.
Public comments were mainly calling on Bradley to resign because of his screed to the TNT blogspot, MAN ON THE STREET. Don't feel too bad; he doesn't like his customers either.
But referring to Bradley as "little Hitler" is unfair. Believe me, Herr Shcikelgruber would have known what to do with this guy.
