TACKY TOWN

Special Cabal meeting 6-4-08 re: REPLACEMENT MAYOR
Also based on radio interview 6-5-08 KUOW Dan Albertson
Former Council member Bob Everding selected as interim Mayor vote 5-0.
Was it legal or legit? It all came out in rhyme.

Dapper Dan, lawyer man,
Finagling the truth, into flimflam.
He was indeed a righteous man,
Everyone else is into bedlam.

He was a man on a mission,
Unfortunately with errors and omissions.
Governing without public infusion,
He gets it all from a Cabal delusion.

He got on the airwaves,
Singing the Councils praise;
They're into openness did he exclaim,
Much to our chagrin and shame.

There would be no public involvement,
To keep the Town quiet and solvent.
There would be no rancorous atmosphere,
No lack of decorum here.

Public comments lead to delay,
Complainers will always have their say.
Especially of those on the enemies list,
Too bad they forgot to cease and desist.

The new Mayor replacement Bob,
He was sure was the man for the job.
The Connection got the news before us,
To the Cabal that's a big plus.

We all would be tremendously thrilled,
No longer would the Town be over billed.
The new Mayor would invite comment and discussion,
That way there would be less repercussion.

He would talk to Council members only,
Unless he was weirded out or lonely.
We will all move forward divided,
That got Dan very excited.

Bradley chimed in with his thin skin,
Excoriating the old Mayor with a battle hymn.
Wayne was smirking and elated,
While Jane merely contemplated.

Jim Hedrick got taken for a spin,
Mayor pro tem did they make him.
Only to overlook one-sidedness,
And cover up their divisiveness.

His legacy was especially obtusive,
That happens when you govern exclusive.
A reflection of his tunnel vision,
That led to a convoluted decision.

Watch out Ruston when the Auditor comes,
He'll make sure that right gets done.
It may take a while for it all to sink in,
Meanwhile it looks like we're stuck with him.

It came to an end in a sanikan,
Trying to figure out if there was a plan.
Thoroughly confused with no way out,
Leaving all common sense in doubt.

Ruston led down a primrose path,
Lawsuits brought judgments that were aghast.
It all ended up a Ruston makeover,
Leading ultimately to a Tacoma takeover.
