Arrogance of the Ruston Council

It is inconceivable to me that Council members Stebner and Albertson are moving ahead (with the apparent agreement of Council members Everding and Huson) to disband the Ruston Fire Department. Their arrogant disregard for the well-being of our citizens is beyond belief. They have blatantly ignored the hard work of the citizen committee (that they wanted) and repeated public input supporting our current department.

Connie Maglionie (I butchered that spelling, sorry Connie) put it best at the meeting Monday ~ saying that these council members have become what they hated so much during the Kim Wheeler administration (although many disagree that the previous administration was anything like this); unresponsive, unwilling to listen, appearing to hold secret meetings to arrange for council action prior to meetings and more I can't remember. Well said, and sadly very true.
